Finding the cause of a distracting loop seam

I am planning a short workshop where students compare generated music exports. The aim is to describe audible differences without guessing which tool produced them. Neutral labels and matched playback levels seem essential for the exercise. Each excerpt would contain the same musical passage to keep comparisons focused. A first listening pass could record when something distracts them, without explaining why. The group includes people with different listening experience, so technical vocabulary should be optional. I would collect individual notes before discussing them together, and let students replay the excerpt when they need to check whether their first impression holds up. I found a resource on ai audio artifact removal that might inform an optional later comparison. It has not been tested for this exercise, so I cannot claim a benefit. The rubric should allow a student to prefer an unchanged version. What listening prompts would help students describe differences without suggesting a winner?
